In 1998 we heard God’s call to begin Families in Christ. Although we had no idea what it might become. For many years we only had a website and a dream of helping families. Then, in 2011, a single mother of four came into our lives and she had a need. So we put out the word to our friends and in no time money was coming in to take care of her And so a part of the dream of FIC was born: to take care of singles and widows.
We are dedicated to compete financial transparency. All the money donated to support single ladies and widows goes directly to support single ladies and widows. But they receive so much more than just money for food and clothing. They gain friends and a loving network of people. We are not interested in just sending a check. Christ calls us to give our lives. And really, that is the true need here. There are so many single ladies but all of them need the same thing: the love of Christ shown through the hands of His people. So we encourage you to make your lives open to help with other needs; perhaps that is prayer, perhaps helping them move, or find a school, or to help them homeschool. Our single sisters in Christ are working themselves to death in so many ways. They just need a break from life and a chance to be home and take care of their children.
